A devoted mother, Maurisha's proudest accomplishment was her beloved daughter, A'Mauri, whom she cherished deeply and nurtured with endless love.

Maurisha was the life of any gathering, an enchanting presence that brought joy and laughter to her loved ones. Her infectious energy and loud, captivating voice filled rooms as if they were bursting with sunshine. She had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel seen and loved, whether through her funny anecdotes or the warm embraces that welcomed all.

Her passions were as vibrant as her personality. Maurisha found solace in singing and dancing, expressing her love for life through music and movement. Cooking was another beloved pastime, where she shared her creativity with a sprinkle of love in every dish. On April 20, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, Maurisha departed this world but leaves behind an enduring legacy of compassion and joy. A visitation service will be held on May 3, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, allowing family and friends to come together to celebrate a life that was far too short yet beautifully lived.

Though the world feels a little dimmer without her laughter and light, Maurisha Rena Givens will forever be remembered—a devoted mother, a cherished friend, and a radiant soul. She taught us to embrace life fully, to dance unapologetically, and to love with every fiber of our being.
