MAXWELL MURRAY EASLEY SR. was the oldest of three children born to Fleat and Elsie Easley in Hartford Connecticut. He was educated in the Connecticut public school system and immediately drafted into the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. After serving his country he began working for several defense contractors and retired from Raytheon.
Pops, as he was affectionately known, loved God, his family and his church. He was a gentle soul that never met a stranger and was always willing to share the Word of God with his fellow man. Teaching Bible Study gave him great joy.
Left to cherish loving memories are his children: Maxwell Murray Easley, Jr. (Tiny), Frances Easley-Savage (Dinnell, Sr.), Seneca Easley (Shanna), Keisha Nichols (Morris); loving caregiver, Gwendolyn Easley; siblings: Frances C. Easley and David Easley; grandchildren: Alyssa Williams, Destinie OseiTutu, Dinnell Savage Jr., Quintin Easley; nephews: Michael Hayes and Fleat Easley; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
