It is with profound respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Gordon, who left us on April 27, 2026. Born on September 24, 1957, Michael’s life was marked by kindness, dedication, and an enduring spirit that touched all who knew him.
Michael was known for his sweet and caring nature, a man whose welcoming demeanor. He would give everyone nicknames. A graduate of Ole’ Miss with honors, he carried the values of excellence and integrity throughout his life. A devoted fan of Ole’ Miss football and the Dallas Cowboys.
Michael’s enthusiasm for the game was just one of the many ways he connected with those around him.
Professionally, Michael was a talented engineer, contributing his skills at Raytheon and Texas Instruments. His keen mind and willingness to listen made him not only a respected colleague but a cherished friend to many. He had an extraordinary gift for truly hearing people, offering support and understanding whenever it was needed.
Michael’s legacy extends deeply into his family and community. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, a proud father-in-law, a cherished grandfather, a dear brother and brother-in-law, a treasured uncle and cousin, and a loyal friend. Each of these roles he inhabited with grace and unwavering commitment, leaving behind memories filled with warmth and love.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for a viewing on May 6, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224. A funeral service to honor Michael’s life will be held on May 7, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at ST LUKE COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 5710 E R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75223.
