Michael Ladell Turner, of Dallas, passed away on October 27, 2026, in Dallas at the age of 67. He was born on April 28, 1959, in Dallas, and his life was marked by a strong spirit, a generous heart, and a personality that left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Michael graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to work as a truck driver. He was known as a man who was full of life, loving, and giving. He liked to be in charge, took great care of people, and could talk with the best of them. His presence brought energy to every room, and his way with people made him memorable to family and friends alike.
He will also be remembered for his sense of humor and the saying that was distinctly his own: “There’s only three famous Michaels of the world, Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson and Michael Turner.” That line captured his confidence, his wit, and the lively spirit that so many will continue to cherish.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Pamela Turner and Michelle Simpson, who shared a close family bond. He was preceded in death by his brother, Winston Turner, Jr.; his mother, Ethel Mae Turner; and his father, Winston Turner.
Michael Ladell Turner will be remembered with love for the care he showed others, for his generous nature, and for the life he brought to those around him. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
