MICHAEL LE’MON ROBINSON, a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and coach, passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on August 31, 1966, Michael's life was marked by an unwavering passion for athletics and a profound commitment to nurturing young talent.
Throughout his illustrious coaching career, Michael left an indelible mark on the communities he served. He began as the head coach of the Gainesville Boys and Girls Club, where he inspired countless youths to discover their potential both on and off the field. His dedication continued as Head Coach for Gainesville Middle School and later at Gainesville High School, where he served as an assistant coach. Michael’s leadership shone brightly during his tenure as Head Coach of Commerce High School, where he guided his team to a State Championship, a testament to his coaching prowess and ability to motivate athletes to achieve excellence.
As he moved on to Head Coach of Desoto High School and then Head Coach of Wilmer Hutchins High School, Michael further demonstrated his talent and strategic acumen by leading his teams to another state championship at Wilmer Hutchins. His coaching journey culminated as he took on the roles of head coach and Athletic Director at North Mesquite High School, where he continued to inspire future generations.
Michael's legacy is felt not only through the victories he achieved but also through the lives he touched and the values he instilled in his players and students. He embodied the spirit of teamwork, perseverance, and integrity, making a positive impact on everyone he encountered.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on January 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Church of Christ, located at 1712 O'Neal Street, Gainesville, TX 76240. A memorial service will be held the following day, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Cliff View Church of Christ, 2424 Simpson Stuart Road, Dallas, TX 75241
