MICHAEL THOMAS MYERS

Michael Thomas Myers, affectionately known to friends and family as Mike, passed away on August 22, 2025, in Texas. Born on June 30, 1965, in Ennis, Texas, Mike lived a vibrant life that was rich in experiences and relationships.

Mike received his education at Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, where he was known for his lively spirit and contagious smile. His career journey saw him working in sanitation for the city of Arlington, showcasing his dedication to serving his community. Additionally, he thrived as a car salesman, where his charismatic personality allowed him to connect with countless customers and colleagues, always striving to uplift those around him.

An avid sports enthusiast, Mike found joy in boxing, as well as playing football and baseball. His passion for sports mirrored his love for life; he was a person who appreciated every moment and sought to make others happy. Mike had a remarkable ability to bring people together, often filling the room with laughter and joy.

Mike is survived by his devoted mother, Geneva Vernon, and his father, Melvin Thomas Myers. He leaves behind two beloved children, Don Byner and Mieashia Lindsey, and a cherished grandchild, MyAsia Douglas. He also held dear to his heart his siblings, Martha Vernon, Charles F. Vernon, Jr., and Melvin Charles Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Vernon, Sr., whose memory will forever remain a part of Mike's legacy.

A Prayer Service will be held on September 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on September 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Both services will take place at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas (Allene), located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224.

Mike's vibrant spirit and unwavering love for those around him will always be remembered by the many lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of happiness, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
