MICHEAUX Rahn THOMAS

Micheaux R. Thomas, “Mitchell” was born to the parentage of John M. Thomas and Mamie Lee Thomas on February 02, 1954. He is one of thirteen children. Mitchell was predeceased by his parents, brothers: John Willie Thomas, Robert Chester Thomas, J.L. Thomas, John Henry Thomas, and sisters Betty Jean Matlock, Lucy Mae Adkins, and Betty Jo Paul. Mitchell was educated in Dallas Public Schools. He attended James Madison High School.

A distinguished military veteran, Mitchell honorably served his country in the United States Army, where he exemplified integrity, strength, and dedication. His military service instilled in him a lifelong sense of patriotism that he carried throughout his life. After he completed his tour of service in the army, Mitchell began his employment as a truck driver. In addition, he and his brother J.L ran a small lawncare service. Mitchell worked as a truck driver until an injury forced his retirement..

Mitchell was a beloved brother, brother - in -law, uncle, nephew, and friend. He is survived by his brother: Leonard Thomas, sisters: DeLois Shaw, Carolyn Thomas, and Gloria Renfro; bonus brothers: Anthony Adkins, Maurice Thomas Paul, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Those who knew Micheaux, affectionately referred to him as “Mitchell” and will remember his steadfast spirit, kind heart, and bright smile. Always on the cutting edge with the style trends, Mitchell was a classy dresser who loved to be neat and clean and smell nice. MItchell lived a life of self - acceptance, determination, and grit. No matter the challenges he faced, Mitchell demonstrated an unwavering love and loyalty toward his family. Rest well, our beloved Micheaux R. “Mitchell” Thomas. “You are gone from this world but never from our hearts.”
