MRS. VYLA DAVIS

July 30, 1929 — March 17, 2021

Vyla Lee was born on July 30, 1929. She was the seventh child to the late Mouse and Cora Wilson. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Mount Zion Methodist Church. She attended school in Omaha, Texas. Lee moved to Dallas after school where she met and married Troy Davis. She attended Mount Olive Baptist Church and later joined Griggs Chapel Baptist Church with her dear friend Freddie Mae Sears where she attended until the PANDEMIC. She enjoyed ushering, Sunday School Class and the many friends she came to love and enjoy. Vyla lee is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Troy, son, Lessie Jr., seven brothers and four sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories: three sisters, Betty Taylor, Faye Moore (Lester) and Stella Wilson all of Dallas; two brothers Curtis Wilson (Queen) of Omaha, Texas and Charles Wilson of Texarkana, Texas; one granddaughter, Vicki Smith (Kenneth); two great-grandchildren, Kisha Smith of Denver, CO, and Beja Smith of Dallas, Texas; four great-great grandchildren; two GOD-sons Branden and Tucker Freeman and a host of other relatives and friends. MEMORIES OF OUR SPECIAL LEE Mama Lee have been in our hearts for 25 years and we consider her family that we got to pick. She was a friend, grandmother, mother and mom all rolled into one. We have never known a more selfless, loving and positive woman, and she will be missed more that words can say. My favorite saying she said all the time was “Saundra, if all people would love each other like we love each other, the world would be a better place. The Freeman Family
