NASON DYMON THOMPKINS II

Nason Dymon Thompkins II, of Dallas, Texas, was born on May 17, 1999, in Dallas and departed this life on October 18, 2026. He was a young man whose presence brought warmth wherever he went, remembered for a bubbly spirit, a quick sense of humor, an ever-present smile, and a heart that was kind and loving.

Nason expressed himself through doing his own music, a part of his life that reflected his individuality, creativity, and voice. Those who knew him will remember the energy he carried, the laughter he inspired, and the lightness he brought into the lives around him. His loving nature and joyful personality left a lasting impression on family and friends, and his memory will continue to live on in the many hearts he touched.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Latres Brewer; his father, Nason Thompkins; his stepfather, Tim Gant and stepmother, Morgan "Ree" Klien; and his godmother, Trisha Daniels. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Ebonie McDonald, Keana Smith, Nashayla Thompkins, Nalaya Thompkins, and Nasiya Thompkins, and by his brother, Desmond Brewer. His memory is further held close by his grandmother, Tara Thompkins; his grandfather, Willie Estes; his uncle, Shane Thompkins; and his aunts, Shandra Kelly, Narecia Estes and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   In every bond he shared with them, Nason leaves behind love, laughter, and moments that will remain treasured.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Joann Brewer, whose memory now joins his in the hearts of those who loved them both.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Nason’s life. A viewing will be held on October 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75224. A wake will follow that same evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas. Funeral services will be held on October 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., also at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas.

Though his time here was far too brief, Nason Dymon Thompkins II will be remembered with deep affection for the joy he gave so freely, the love he showed so naturally, and the smile that so many will carry with them always.
