OPAL N. JEFFERSON

Opal N. Jefferson, a beacon of warmth and grace, passed away on June 6, 2024, leaving a legacy of love and laughter that will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was born on April 1, 1932, and throughout her 92 years of life, she touched the lives of many with her welcoming smiles and gentle spirit.

Opal was known for her unwavering love for her family, especially her cherished nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She always had a kind word and a listening ear, offering comfort and support whenever it was needed. Her presence brought a sense of calm and joy to those around her, making every gathering a special occasion.

In addition to her devotion to family, Opal had a passion for watching westerns, the Young and Restless, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys during football season, cooking up delicious meals, and exploring new destinations through her travels. Her zest for life and diverse interests made her a vibrant soul with a thirst for knowledge and adventure.

A Wake Service in memory of Opal will be held on June 20, 2024, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas. Following this, a Celebration of Life will take place on June 21, 2024, at Mt Rose Church in Dallas. These services will provide an opportunity for all who knew Opal to come together and honor the beautiful life she lived.

Opal N. Jefferson is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Rev. Charlie Jefferson, family members and friends who will carry forward the light of her spirit in their own lives. Though she may no longer be present in body, her memory will continue to inspire kindness and compassion in all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

May she rest in peace, forever embraced by the love that she so generously shared during her time on earth.
