On Thursday, July 31, 2020 Ordia Lee Polk was called home at the age of 78. The world has lost a great husband, father, brother, uncle, and leader.
Ordia Lee Polk was born on January 6, 1942 to Mae Evia Shavers and Leroy Polk in Kaufman, Texas.
Ordia received his education from WH Burnett High School in Terrell Texas, where he played halfback for his high school football team, Class of 1962.
Ordia was joined in marriage to Rosie Dean Owens on March 1, 1969.
Ordia retired from Leaman Container Inc, in Fort Worth Texas in 2005.
Ordia loved family gatherings, eating great food until he was good and full. He aslo enjoyed playing dominoes, shooting pool, working out and fishing. He enjoyed watching football and he was a Dallas Cowboys fan because he loved watching the cheerleaders. Ordia also enjoyed watching his Texas Rangers play.
On July 21, 1982 Ordia received his Certification of Ordination as an Associate Pastor Elder from The Apostolic Pentecostal Church, where he and Rosie served as faithful members for over thirty-two years.
Ordia was preceded in death by his father Leroy and Mother Mae Evia Polk, his brothers James Earl Polk and Leroy Jr. (Bunny) Polk.
Left to Cherish his memories are his Wife Rosie Dean Polk, Daughter Linda Polk Voundy and Sons Rodney, Cedric (Wife Tiffany), Derrick Polk and Lewis Stewart, Sister Berniece Collier, Brother Joe Polk. Ordia leaves behind over fifteen grandchildren three great grandchilren and a host of nieces, nephews and countless extended family and friends. All held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly.
