PATRICIA ANN MOORE

July 20, 1951 — April 5, 2026

PATRICIA ANN MOORE, a spirited woman whose life was a vivid tapestry of love, laughter, and resilience, passed away on April 5, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Dallas, TX. Born on July 20, 1951, Patricia’s journey began right where it would eventually come full circle—a place she deeply cherished and called home.

Known affectionately by many as "Mama Pat," she was much more than a caregiver; she was a beacon of strength and warmth as a Certified Nursing Assistant in private homes. Her career was not just a job, but a profound calling where her sassy and feisty nature shone warmly through. Patricia had a very good sense of humor that lightened the lives of those around her, and she cherished the finer things in life, often blending elegance with her affectionate spirit. As a mentor and mother figure to many, she nurtured souls beyond her immediate family, offering guidance and love that endured.

Her personality was as rich and vibrant as the music she loved, and her passion for dancing often brought joy to any room she entered. Whether indulging in fine dining, delighting in shopping excursions, or spending treasured moments with her grandchildren, Patricia lived life fully and with grace. She was also deeply spiritual, grounding herself and others in faith and hope through all seasons of life.

Patricia’s proudest accomplishments were her children—she brought into the world and raised seven remarkably cherished children, whose lives and loves were her heart’s greatest triumph. She is survived by her three devoted daughters: Yolanda Glasper, Ashley Moore, and Tara Jones; and three sons: Leo Moore, Rodney Moore, and Aundrey Moore. Their successes and joys were the reflection of her enduring strength. Patricia also leaves behind a brother, Author Casteels, who shared in the family bond that defined her life.

Her legacy extends far beyond her children, embracing 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, each a living testament to her enduring spirit and love. Additionally, a host of other family members and friends remain grateful for her influence and the vibrant mark she left on all who knew her.

Patricia’s path was also marked by deep loss; she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Karen Keller Lowe, and her husband, Willie L. Cyrus, whose memories she held tenderly throughout her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Patricia’s remarkable journey on April 18, 2026,  1:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-JOHN CHAPEL located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. This gathering will serve as a heartfelt tribute to a woman who embodied strength, wit, and boundless love—a true mother figure and spirit who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Patricia Ann Moore’s life was a vibrant song, a dance through decades filled with love, laughter, and luminous joy. Her story reminds us all to embrace life’s finer moments, nurture those we love fiercely, and walk our paths with an unyielding spirit. Though her presence is deeply missed, the echo of her laughter and the warmth of her care will live on forever. Rest peacefully, Mama Pat. Your journey was magnificent, and your legacy eternal.
