PATRICIA ANN COX

Patricia Ann Cox (Shannon), 81, of Denton, TX, humbly passed away on January 12, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Friars Point, MS on September 24, 1942, and her life was a testament to gratitude and respect for all of creation. 

Patricia's journey on this earthly plane has come to an end, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Shirley (Jeff Ashmore) of Hondo, TX; devoted son, Donald Burch of San Antonio, TX; cherished sister, Joannie (Dave White) of Conway, AR; loving granddaughter, Jennifer Burch (Arturo Hernandez) of Denton, TX; caring granddaughter, Kimberly Ayala of Castroville, TX; devoted grandson, Russell Ashmore of San Antonio, TX; precious great-grandson, Davin Martinez of Dallas, TX; treasured great-granddaughter, Erika Martinez of Dallas, TX; beloved great-grandson Jacob of Denton, TX: beloved great-grandson Jason of Denton, TX; beloved great-granddaughter, Aubrey Ayala of Castroville, TX; and 2 great great granddaughters of Dallas, TX. 

In her journey, Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bennett Cox, her beloved daughter, Tina Arriaga, her beloved son, Steven Burch, and both her beloved parents. They have now been reunited in the embrace of eternity. 

During her time with us, Patricia exemplified the values of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation. Her gentle spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her unwavering love and kindness.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Patricia's humble life and to express gratitude for the blessings she brought into our lives. As we bid her farewell, let us remember her with reverence and gratitude, knowing that she has returned to the loving arms of the Creator.

 May Patricia's soul find eternal peace and may her memory continue to inspire us to live with humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation.
