Patrick Glenn Smith, born on July 1, 1961, in the vibrant heart of Dallas, Texas, departed this world on December 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with humor, care, and unwavering kindness. He spent his life in a manner that was nothing short of colorful, embodying the very essence of a truly engaging spirit.

Patrick was well-known for his role as an Inventory Support Technician at DART, a position that spoke to both his dedication and meticulous nature. Those who had the pleasure of working alongside him could attest to his detailed approach and the flair he brought to the workplace, reflecting the very fabric of his personality—fun, funny, easygoing, and outspoken. His infectious enthusiasm for life was palpable, making every encounter with him a cherished memory.

A proud graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School, class of 1980, Patrick carried with him a sense of pride for his roots and community. He held his family and friends close to his heart. Known for his fashionable appearance, he was as much a visual beacon as he was a source of joy, his style reflecting his larger-than-life personality.  He was family oriented.

Patrick’s love for sports was unmistakable, particularly his unwavering allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys. Whether cheering from the stands or recounting past glory on the court, where he spent many youthful days playing basketball, his passion was always evident. Those moments spent watching games or discussing plays became sacred rituals shared with friends, further testament to his ability to cultivate connections.

His unexpected departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew him. To celebrate and remember this extraordinary individual, a viewing will be held on December 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas. Following this, a funeral service will take place on December 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the same location, ensuring that family and friends have the opportunity to gather and reflect on the joy Patrick brought into their lives.
