PEARLYNE SCOTT

May 18, 1935 — January 10, 2019

Pearlyne Scott was born May 18, 1935, to the parentage of Felton and Claudia Brown in Dallas, Texas. She received her education through Dallas Independent School District and graduated at 16 years old from Lincoln High School in 1952. She was employed for over 34 years as a Quality Control Inspector for Texas Instruments/ Photronics. While there, she made many lifelong friends that she considered family. She retired in 1999.She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and shopping at her favorite store, Target. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing home improvement projects and spent a lot of time at Home Depot.

Pearlyne was a dog lover and a proud parent to Precious, Corky, Casi, and CoCo over the years. She also loved to decorate for the Christmas holidays, and her competitive spirit led her to win the neighborhood holiday home decorating contests for many years until her health started to decline.

Although she had no children of her own, she loved children. She adored her nieces, nephews, godchildren, and great-nieces and nephews.

Pearlyne was preceded in death by her mother, Claudia Kimp, father, Felton Brown,sister, Dorothy Jean Thomas (Lacy), brother, Harvey Lee Brown (Gail), lifelong best friend, Florence Hill, godson, Doug Bradley, and the spouse of her goddaughter, Tim Jones. She leaves behind: her sister, Sharon Brooks (Larry); nephews, Nathaniel Brown, Sr., and Joseph Thomas; her lovely nieces, Shalonda Davis (Greg), Jessica Brooks, and Jennifer Brooks; nephew, Jarrett Brooks; great-nieces, Felicia Quigley (Robert), Nsayah, Amanda, and Kaitlyn; great-nephews, Nathaniel Brown II, William Gavin, Chris and Zaire; great-great-nieces, Alyson, Kaylee and Haley; great-great-nephews, Nathaniel Brown III, Robert Jr., and Cayden; a very special goddaughter, Jeanna Jones; her precious godsons, Charles Thomas and James Allen; a lifelong friend, Elnora Kennedy; as well as a plethora of other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
