PETER GREG WHITE SR

April 29, 1959 — April 14, 2026

PETER GREG WHITE SR, a man whose life was a tapestry woven with kindness, charisma, and an unwavering passion of many thing such as cooking, being outdoors, and listening to oldies but goodies, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026. Born on April 29, 1959, in Clearwater, Florida, Peter carried the warmth of his hometown with him throughout his life, a warmth reflected in the hearty meals he crafted as a chef, his love for the outdoors, and the generous spirit that defined him.

A graduate of Don Eden High School in Florida, Peter’s journey was marked by a deep commitment not only to his career but to the people around him. Known as a eccentric people person, he possessed the rare ability to adapt effortlessly with anybody. Straightforward yet funny, charismatic yet humble, he was someone who could light up a room with both his presence, laughter and his corky personality.

Peter’s proudest accomplishments were rooted firmly in his roles as a chef and as a devoted father. His love for cooking transcended vocation—it was an expression of care, creativity, and connection. He cooked for Howard University and for well-known celebrities in top-rated restaurants. He delighted in sharing recipes and stories alike, nurturing his family and friends with meals seasoned by love and dedication. More than any accolade, the joy and pride he took in his children—Jackie Rose, Peter Greg White Jr, and Quaneisha Rebaca White—were the cornerstones of his life’s fulfillment.

His soul found exhilaration and peace in the embrace of nature. An avid lover of mountain climbing, Peter sought the heights where the world felt limitless. He loves walking on trails, going to parks, and experiencing many thrilling adventures. Some adventures were complemented by quieter passions: losing himself in music, taking fun road trips and his many choices of soda like any grape soda, Nehi Peach, and Tahiti treat.

Peter’s family remains a living testament to his legacy. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lillie White; his daughters, Jackie Rose and Quaneisha White; his son, Peter White Jr.; and three beloved grandchildren. His two sisters, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, carry forward the spirit of a man who lived with a lively soul.

Peter Greg White Sr. was more than a chef, an adventurer, more than a family man—he was a beacon of warmth, joy, laughter, and unwavering kindness in the lives he touched. His departure leaves a silence that echoes with the memories of his hearty laugh, his wisdom and advice, and the abundant love he so freely gave. He will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
