PLASDELLA AVELLA EDWARDS

May 13, 1950 — Oct 5, 2026

Plasdella Avella Edwards passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on May 13, 1950, she lived a life defined by devotion to her family, quiet pleasures, and deep personal strength.

One of Plasdella’s proudest accomplishments was being a single mother who raised four sons to become good men. That work of love, sacrifice, and perseverance stood at the center of her life and remains part of the legacy she leaves behind. Her family was the truest measure of her heart.

She also found joy in the everyday comforts that made life rich and familiar. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, and watching westerns, and she was a faithful Dallas Cowboy. These simple pleasures reflected a woman who appreciated routine, thoughtfulness, and the familiar stories and pastimes that brought happiness to her days.

Plasdella leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Carrenado Edwards, Antonio Edwards and his wife Kimberly, and Eviticus Edwards and his wife Tina; and her sister, Gilda Mendia. She will be remembered with love by those who knew her as a mother, sister, and steady presence in the lives of those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Marvin Edwards, and her grandson, Carl Edwards. Their memory remained part of her life, and she now rests with those who went before her.

Plasdella Avella Edwards will be remembered for her resilience, her love for her family, and the enduring pride she carried in the men her sons became. Her life leaves behind a lasting impression of strength, care, and devotion, and her memory will continue to be held close by all who loved her.
