RAY ANDERSON JR

Ray Louis Anderson Jr. was born on December 21, 1956. His parents were the late Ray Louis Anderson Sr. and Ghevonne Elizabeth Tyiska Anderson. He received his education throughout the Wilmer Hutchins Independent School District and was a graduate of the class of 1975. He also continued his education at El Centro Community College.

Throughout his career, he was employed with Stuart’s convenience store, NEI Laboratory, Western Auto, Firestone, (DCS) Dallas County Schools as a bus monitor, and Good Year Quality Tires as a manager. Ray had accomplished so many achievements during his career. Some of Ray’s hobbies were grilling, hunting, landscaping, working on cars, and most importantly spending quality time with his family. Oh, and let’s not forget, “How about them Cowboys?” He was an avid fan!!!

He united with the Alta Mesa Park Baptist Church at an early age. He was involved in the choir, the usher board, the youth department, and the brotherhood ministry.

In November 1982, Ray was united in holy matrimony to Synthia Levells. They were blessed with 38 years of marriage. To this union were born, two children Crystal Anderson and Ray Louis Anderson III aka “Boobie”

He departed this life on Sunday, May 30, 2021, and leaves to cherish his memories; wife Synthia Anderson, two daughters Crystal Anderson and Brandy Mathis; two sons Therion Ogilvie (Kanisha) and Ray Louis Anderson III “Boobie”; one sister Alcina Anderson McFarland aka “Tina”; three sisters-in-law Shelia Allen, Joyce Houston (Tommie) and Laverne Scott; three brothers Robert Earl Robertson, Christopher Anderson, and Rayland O’Quinn; one brother-in-law William Levells aka as “Junebug”; Seven grandchildren and a host of many family members and friends.

Ray Louis Anderson Jr. was preceded in death by both his parents and  brother Howard Allen.
