Refugio Gutierrez

Refugio Gutierrez of Seguin, Texas was welcomed home by the Lord on Friday February 12, 2021 at the age of 76. He was born to Pilar Sr. and Felipa (Rubio) Gutierrez on July 4, 1944.

Refugio was born and raised in Seguin, Texas. Their after he got married in the year of 1981 and moved to Dallas, Texas. Refugio accepted Jesus Christ back in 1986, he devoted his strong faith to our Lord Jesus Christ. He was an active member in church, he enjoyed preaching the gospel in the streets and inviting people to church. Refugio also enjoyed cleaning the temple while doing so he loved to sing.  Refugio loved waking up before sunrise to pray. Refugio was a jokester always making those around him laugh, he was a person of love and giving.  He enjoyed being around with members of the church and mostly with his family. Refugio will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will always live in the hearts of his family and friends.

Refugio is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brothers, Felix Gutierrez Sr., Federico Gutierrez, Pilar Gutierrez  Sr., and his sisters Maria Carrillo, Dominga Gutierrez Molina and Yolanda Rangel.

He is survived by his loving wife Dominga Gutierrez and daughters, Maria Luisa Gutierrez, Victoria Gutierrez, (grandchildren) Robert Sanchez, Jesse Sanchez and Christian Sanchez, Silvia Flores and husband, Hector; (grandchildren) Hector Jr. Flores, Israel Flores, Joseph E. Medrano and Isaac Medrano. Rebecca Baeza and husband Cesar, (grandchildren) Cesar Miguel Baeza, Lidia Lilianna Baeza and Clarissa Elizabeth Baeza. And sons; Jose Luis Gutierrez (grandchildren) Stephanie Cuellar, (great-grandchildren) Adrian Fonseca, Andre Fonseca, Audrey Fonseca and Arianna  Fonseca.  (Grandchildren)  Lisa Marie Gutierrez (great- grandchildren) Mercedes Porter, Michael Jr. Porter and Charles Porter.  (Grandchildren)  Rosemary Gutierrez. Francisco Salazar and wife, Veronica (grandchildren) Francisco Jose Salazar lll, Alyssa Monic Salazar, Christopher Segura, Adrain Moreno, Ana Segura, Emily Segura, Ashli Rivera and Mia Angelina Salazar. His brothers Theodoro Gutierrez and Francisco Gutierrez and his wife, Irene.  Refugio is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
