RENEE DOZIER
May 19, 1958 – March 30, 2026
Born in the vibrant heart of Dallas, Texas, Renee Dozier graced this world on May 19, 1958, and departed peacefully in DeSoto, Texas, on March 30, 2026. She lived a life marked by the warmth of her spirit and the steadfast strength of her character, leaving behind an indelible legacy of love and faith.
A proud graduate of South Oak Cliff High School, class of 1976, and Tyler Junior College, Renee carried the values instilled in her by her beloved parents, Gwendolyn and Everett Walker, now resting in eternal peace. Her journey was one of deep devotion—to her family, her faith, and the quiet joys that she embraced with open arms.
Renee was a woman of rare sweetness and unwavering strength, the very embodiment of a steadfast friend and confidante. With a soft-spoken voice touched by charisma, she was a God-fearing soul who honored the Word of God, a guiding light for those who sought solace and counsel. Many found comfort in her presence, knowing she was someone you could lean on with both your heart and your troubles.
Her days were enriched by simple yet profound pleasures: the art of cooking, a tender affection for her beloved dogs Cookie and Beans, the tranquility of a well-tended garden, and the exhilaration of travel. Through these passions, Renee expressed the fullness of her loving nature and zest for life.
Above all, Renee’s greatest pride and joy were her sons, Edwin and Rynel Dozier, to whom she was an unwavering source of support and inspiration. She cherished every moment watching her granddaughter, Erin Lillian Dozier, blossom into the remarkable young girl she is today—a living testament to Renee’s nurturing spirit.
Renee is survived by her sons Edwin and Rynel Dozier; her three brothers, Roderick, Rodney, and Gregory Walker; and a wide circle of family and friends who loved her dearly, including a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. Though her husband, Edwin L. Dozier Jr., and her parents have passed on, their memories remain etched alongside hers in the hearts of all who knew her.
Her departure leaves a tender silence but also a radiant echo of a life beautifully lived—a life that was sweet, loving, outgoing, and deeply rooted in faith and family. In remembering Renee Dozier, we celebrate not just the woman she was, but the enduring warmth she leaves behind, a beacon of love to guide us onward.
