RHONDA ROCHELLE HOGAN

With hearts heavy yet grateful for the boundless light she brought, we mourn the passing and celebrate the memory of RHONDA ROCHELLE HOGAN—known by many as “Bubblegum.” Born on October 27, 1966, in Monroe, Louisiana, and leaving this world on July 9, 2026, at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Rhonda’s journey was one of vibrant spirit, laughter, and generosity.

A burst of spunk and adventure, Rhonda embodied what it meant to live out loud. She danced into the lives of all who knew her—spreading her thoughtful warmth, quick wit, and gregarious energy. Whether making loved ones double over with laughter from her keen sense of humor or simply being the life of every party, Bubblegum’s presence continually reminded us of the power of joy and togetherness.

Her love and gifts were ever-evident in her roles as daughter, mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and friend. Rhonda’s family was her pride and joy: she is survived by her beloved children, Shakiedral Summerling, (with Marczalious) Edward Bush, (with Jessica), Mary Warren, Shameka Warren, and Dayvion Warren; each holding close the lessons and laughter their mother so freely gave. Her cherished and her devoted husband Roy Hogan remain, comforted by the indelible mark she leaves on their hearts. Her family circle is further graced by her brothers Clarence Bush, Jr. (with Angela), Casey Bush (with Gayle), and Ken Bush, and sisters Karen Winn, Sharon Atkins (with Edward), and Shameka Ijeaku (with Chidubem), each a testament to the enduring bonds that sustained her through all seasons of life.

As a grandmother, Rhonda’s heart expanded with every new arrival: Nina Bush, Iyona Lindsay, Roxanne Bush, Allen Acy, Alex Acy, Edward Bush, Jr., Kadreana Hopkins, Decorian Bean, Imani Collins, Amell Clark, Dream Warren, Harmony Elsie, and Laylah Warren—a constellation of grandchildren who carry both her legacy and laughter into the future.

Rhonda’s giving heart and spirited nature were forged within a loving family tied together through times of celebration and loss. She is reunited in peace with her parents, Clarence Bush, Sr. and Bessie Bush, her dear sister Barbara Bush, and her brother Moblin Bush, whose memories she cherished deeply.

Those who knew Rhonda often recount her as the thoughtful giver, the one who instinctively noticed when someone needed a smile, a joke, or a gentle word. She turned everyday moments into occasions, and she welcomed all with open arms. Her unmistakable zest for life was infectious—her adventurous soul inspiring those around her to be bold, to laugh, and to love unconditionally.

To honor Rhonda Rochelle Hogan’s extraordinary life, funeral services will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-JOHN, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224, on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors for a viewing at the same location on July 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a wake and prayer service beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Though her laughter has quieted, the echoes of her love and the brilliance of her spirit endure, etched forever in the memories of those fortunate enough to have shared in her light. Rhonda’s legacy—her adventurous heart, infectious humor, and unyielding spirit—remains a guiding star for all who walk in the warmth of her memory.
