RICKY GENE SPICER

Ricky Gene Spicer, born in the heart of Dallas, Texas on February 18, 1956, bid his final farewell on February 28, 2024, surrounded by memories of a life well-lived. His journey through this world was marked by dedication and service as a valued member of the City of Dallas Sanitation Department.

Ricky's infectious personality left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. Described as funny, outgoing, and the life of the party, Ricky's presence could light up any room he entered. He was known for being straightforward yet always willing to lend a helping hand, embodying the true essence of a giver.

In his spare time, Ricky found joy in simple pleasures – hanging out with friends, dancing to rhythmic beats, and relishing the comfort of red beans and cornbread paired with a sip of Paul Masson. These moments were a testament to his love for life and his ability to find happiness in the little things.

Having graduated from James Madison/ Skyline High School, Ricky not only excelled in his professional endeavors but also nurtured lasting friendships along the way. His impact on those around him will continue to resonate long after his physical presence has departed.

Ricky Gene Spicer is survived by his loving family and friends who will forever cherish the laughter and joy he brought into their lives. Though he may have taken his leave from this world, his spirit lives on in the memories shared by all who knew him.

Services to honor and celebrate Ricky's life will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory in Dallas, Texas. A Prayer Service will take place on March 13th at 7:15 PM followed by a Celebration of Life on March 14th at 1:00 PM. These gatherings serve as a reminder of the profound impact Ricky had on those around him and an opportunity to pay tribute to a remarkable individual whose light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
