ROBERT EARL BRACKENS, born on November 11, 1965, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2024, in his beloved city. He was a dedicated city worker who contributed significantly to his community, showing unwavering commitment and care in all his endeavors.
Robert's education journey began at North Dallas High School, where he laid the foundation that would support him throughout his life. Known for cute and funny demeanor, Robert always had a kind word to share, brightening the days of those around him. He was a man of depth, balancing his light-hearted spirit with a serious and stern approach when the situation warranted it.
He leaves behind a loving father, James Brackens, a devoted daughter, Chandra Brown, and cherished grandchildren who will carry forward his memory and values. Also he leaves behind his siblings, Jacqueline, Caithlyn and James Brackens, Jr., his aunts, Vivian Leonard, Janet Jackson, uncle, Tommy Lee and a host of other relatives and friends.
Robert is predeceased by his mother, Jo Ann Brackens, whose legacy of love and support undoubtedly influenced the man he became.
A prayer service will be held in his honor on September 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224.
Robert Earl Brackens will be remembered as a gentle soul who made lasting impacts on the lives of many through both his professional service and personal interactions. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
