RODERICK SIMS

RODERICK SIMS, a beloved son of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024 at the age of 61. Born on December 19, 1962, Roderick was a true Dallas native who carried the spirit and vibrancy of his hometown everywhere he went.

Throughout his life, Roderick was known for his infectious sense of humor and a that radiated warmth and joy. A true jokester, he brought laughter to his friends and family, often brightening the darkest of days with a well-timed quip. His love for all kinds of music reflected his diverse spirit, embracing genres that spanned generations and styles.

Roderick was not only a lover of music; he was also passionate about art and expressed his creativity in many forms, especially drawing. He spent countless joyful hours fishing, finding serenity and inspiration in nature. In addition, he was an avid supporter of his local sports teams, passionately cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks, creating lasting memories with fellow fans.

A memorial service to celebrate Roderick's life will be held on November 23, 2024, starting at 3:00 PM, at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Roderick are invited to join in remembering the joy he brought into this world.

Roderick Sims will be deeply missed, but his legacy of laughter, love, and creativity will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
