It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronnie Hayes, who left us on March 14, 2026. Born on February 17, 1954, Ronnie’s life was marked by a vibrant spirit, unwavering devotion, and a profound commitment to his community.
A proud graduate of Lincoln High School, Ronnie distinguished himself not only academically but also on the athletic fields. He was a passionate player of both football and basketball, embodying the spirit of teamwork and perseverance that would define much of his life. His years at Lincoln High were not just about sport; they were formative in fostering the outgoing and warm personality for which he was dearly loved.
Ronnie’s dedication extended beyond the schoolyard to his church and neighborhood. He served as a devoted deacon and an active choir member at Magnolia CME Church, roles that reflected his deep faith and commitment to serving others. His voice lifted spirits in song, and his leadership as a deacon offered guidance and comfort to many.
Known throughout the neighborhood for his readiness to help, Ronnie’s kindness and generosity touched countless lives. Whether offering a helping hand or a word of encouragement, he was a beacon of support and friendship. His presence in the community was palpable, and his legacy is one of selflessness and care.
