ROSALIND DENISE HICKS

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Rosalind Denise “Rozzy GG” Hicks, who left us on July 14, 2026, in her hometown of Dallas, Texas. Born on April 7, 1966, in Dallas, Rosalind spent her life embracing those around her with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Rozzy was a beacon of strength and kindness, endearing herself to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend—she poured her love generously into every role and relationship she held.

Her sons, Allen Hicks his wife Tamela and Johnathan Hicks, carry forward her spirit with resilience and tenderness—a living tribute to their mother’s guidance and affection. Rozzy’s beloved grandchildren, Jailon Hicks, Jeremiah Hicks, and Dkayla Geter-Wright, will forever remember her affectionate embrace, wise counsel, and the special way she made each feel cherished.

She was also a devoted sibling, sharing bonds of laughter and strength with her brother Adrian Hicks, sister Wanda Henry, and brother Jessie Daniels. Each relationship was a testament to Rosalind’s devotion and capacity for love, rooted deeply in the bonds of family.

Rosalind’s journey was marked both by profound joys and by heavy losses. She honored the memories of those who passed before her: her father Leroy Hicks, her brother Leroy Hicks, and her sisters Cassandra Butler and Patsy Daniels. Their legacies lived on in her heart and actions, driving her to uphold the values and traditions they shared.

Her story is one of unending compassion; she uplifted others before herself and turned ordinary moments into cherished family lore. Rozzy will be remembered for her strength of character, her radiant smile, and her unwavering loyalty to those she loved.

Family and friends will gather to remember and honor Rosalind Denise Hicks at a memorial service on July 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. In coming together, those she touched will celebrate a life well-lived—a legacy flourishing in the hearts of all who knew her.

Though she is gone from our sight, Rozzy’s love will remain with us always. Her spirit lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the strength of her children, and the memories treasured by all whose lives she graced.
