Rozenda Marie Sneed

Rozenda Marie Sneed, born on May 14, 1951, passed away on September 19, 2026.

Rozenda moved through life with a spirit all her own. She was loving in her own way, independent in the truest sense, and lived life to her own drum. She would speak her mind, and those who knew her will remember that honesty as part of the strength and character that made her unforgettable.

She found joy in simple pleasures that brought people together and filled ordinary days with warmth. She enjoyed playing card games, especially Spades, and was equally at home in a lively game of Dominoes. She also loved working crossword puzzles, a pastime that reflected both her wit and her delight in a good challenge. These everyday moments became part of the memories she leaves behind—times of laughter, conversation, competition, and companionship.

Rozenda’s life was rooted in family, starting with her parents Claude and Alice Marie Pointer. She also cherished the memories of growing up with her sisters, Charlesetta and Claudia, and her brother, Larry. Her love continues in her children: her daughter, Claudette, and her sons, Darwin, Stephen, and Mikey, 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 9 nieces, 7 nephews and a host of a family and friends so vast it is too many to name. In each of them, and in the memories they carry, her presence endures.

Her voice and expressions will remain close to the hearts of those who loved her. Among the sayings that captured her personality were “You don’t run nothing,” “If you love it, I like it,” “Ooh this is good!” “key lime pie,” “betta ask sum body,” and “I got connection.”

Rozenda will be remembered for the love she gave, the presence she carried, and the unmistakable way she remained true to herself. Her life leaves an enduring impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
