With profound sorrow and a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Rubie Jean Turner, who departed from this earthly life on March 22, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on January 19, 1949, in Welder, Texas, Rubie Jean lived a life marked by a forthright spirit, fierce devotion to family, and unwavering protection of those she cherished most.
Rubie Jean was a woman whose words were never cloaked in hesitation—very direct and outspoken, she stood as a paragon of strength and candor. Family was her unwavering center; she embraced her role as protector with relentless passion and dedication. Her proudest accomplishments were the lives she nurtured—her children and grandchildren, who remain living testaments to her love and guidance.
She found joy in the simple and heartfelt pleasures of life. Whether it was the comforting rhythm of cooking and cleaning, the quiet escape of watching movies, or the thrill of cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, Rubie Jean’s presence was warm and enduring. Her playful engagement in playing the lottery added a touch of hopeful whimsy to her days.
Rubie Jean leaves behind an enduring legacy in her four beloved children: Stella Turner, Diane Turner, Patricia Turner, and Fredrick Turner. She also guided and raised her granddaughter Shureka White as a daughter, enveloping her in unconditional love. Her family tree extends further into two decades of grandchild Lavelle White , Lemichael White, Lafayette White host of great-grandchildren, and numerous cherished who carry forward her vibrant spirit. She is also survived by her two sisters, Lorene Taplin and Blossy Finley, as well as a broad circle of nieces and nephews who deeply felt her love and influence.
Though Rubie Jean is gone from this world, she joins those who passed before her—her dear parents,TRINA WHITE Morris and Irene White; her two children, Genell White and Bennie C. White; and her brothers and sisters: ANNIE Jo White, Margie Henderson, Wessi Mae Watson, Ivory Geiger, Julie Bell, Marvin White, Morris White Jr., Larry White, and Archie Lee White. Their memories intertwine with hers, a family tapestry of love and resilience.
The legacy of Rubie Jean Turner shall be honored through a series of memorial services held in Dallas, Texas. A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on April 10, 2026, at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, where friends and family may gather to pay their respects until 7:00 p.m. That evening at 7:15 p.m., a prayer service will be held at the same location under the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-Allene banner, offering a moment to reflect on her life and faith. The funeral service will follow the next day, April 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, culminating in a burial at 1:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 1311 Murdock Road, Dallas.
