RUBY POLK

Ruby Polk was born October 18, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to Larry Thomas and Cora Lee Thomas. She was the youngest of two daughters. She was also blessed with a younger brother from her mother’s second marriage She was the mother of three children, one son and two daughters. Through them came five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She found true love and married Wallace Polk on June 18, 1993.

Ruby was preceded in death by both parents, Larry Thomas and Cora Cherry; stepfathers, Flodell Anderson and Roscoe Cherry; both siblings, Margie Averyhart and LaDell Green, Sr.; one daughter, Brenda Thomas; one granddaughter, Ebony Thomas; and one nephew, Andre Williams.

She leaves to mourn: her husband, Wallace Polk; son, Eddie Thomas, Sr. (Shirley); elder daughter, Ray Ann Thomas (Leroy); four grandchildren, LaToya, Vanessa, Stephanie and Eddie Thomas, Jr.; six great-grandchildren, DeTerius, Chaz, Chasity, Elaina and Kaiden Thomas and Ahlivia Virgil; stepmother, Vivian Thomas; two nieces, Lakeisha Tillman (Dallas) and Ana-Anisha Wilson; two nephews, Roderick Thomas (Rochelle) and LaDell Green, Jr. (Jada); nine great-nieces and nephews; eight great-great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. She will forever be missed.
