She belonged to the illustrious class of 1971 from Roosevelt High School, where her charisma first began to forge a path that would touch countless lives.
Sandra dedicated a significant part of her life to serving her community as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the VA Hospital in Dallas. Her unwavering commitment to caring for others was reflected in her nurturing nature, which complemented her strong will and direct manner. She was a woman who did not shy away from speaking her mind; rather, her wit and straightforwardness made her a beloved figure among colleagues and patients alike.
A woman of vibrant hobbies, Sandra was known for her keen sense of fashion, always keeping up with the latest trends. Her weekends were often spent watching westerns and crime shows, while the soothing melodies of gospel music filled her home, echoing her devotion to her faith. She had an appreciation for good food, often sharing delicious meals with family and friends, binding them closer together with every shared bite.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Sandra will never forget the joyful Saturday mornings, where she would rouse everyone with the upbeat sounds of The Gap Band's "Early in the Morning," a lively call to arms for cleaning up, filling the air with energy and laughter. Her thoughtfulness extended far beyond these moments; she had a remarkable gift of remembering everyone’s birthday, ensuring that her loved ones felt cherished by always making that special call.
Sandra’s proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren, the inadvertent treasures of her life that brought her immense joy and satisfaction. They were the anchors of her world, her legacy woven into their very beings.
