Savela Sabrina Cannon

Savela Sabrina Cannon, a dedicated educator and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at her daughter’s residence in Kennedale, Texas. Born on May 24, 1961, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Savela led a life marked by passion, commitment, and warmth.

Savela devoted her professional career to shaping young minds as a Teacher within the Arlington Independent School District. With a Masters Degree in Education, she brought knowledge, patience, and inspiration to her students, making a meaningful impact on countless lives throughout her years of service. Beyond the classroom, she took great pride in being a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a connection that celebrated her lifelong commitment to Service to all Mankind.

Her vibrant spirit extended well beyond her career. Savela loved shopping, social gatherings, and travel—activities that allowed her to forge treasured memories and friendships. Whether exploring new places or sharing laughter with friends, she embraced life with enthusiasm and grace.

Those wishing to honor Savela’s memory may attend the viewing on March 16, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, located at 1188 West Broad Street, Mansfield, TX 76063. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 11:00 AM.  These gatherings will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and the community to celebrate Savela's life and legacy.
