SW, affectionately known by the nickname "Cheese," departed this life on September 13, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on October 17, 1949, in Nacogdoches, Texas, Sherley was a man who embodied the spirit of joy and resilience throughout his life.

A beloved family man, SW took immense pride in his family, often emphasizing their importance in his life above all. He was known for his fun-loving personality and loved to joke, bringing laughter and warmth to those around him. His dedication to hard work was evident in his daily endeavors, and he approached each challenge with a God-fearing spirit that highlighted his character.

SW's interests were diverse and reflected his dynamic personality. A true car enthusiast, he had a particular fondness for his Chrysler 300, relishing the pride it brought him. He was a regular at the gym, valuing both fitness and leisure in balance.

A Wake Service will be held in his honor on September 18, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, starting at 6:00 PM. Following this, a Funeral Service will take place at People’s Baptist Church on September 19, 2025, commencing at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery - Nacogdoches, Tx. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate SW's life and the indelible mark he left on their hearts.
