SHERMAN MINGO

Sherman Lee Mingo was born January 28, 1943 in Terrell, Texas to Henry Jake and Hallie V. Mingo. He accepted Jesus the Christ as his Savior, at an early age under the tutelage of Elder Barron, Fair Park Church of God in Christ, in Dallas, Texas. Soon after he became a Licensed & Ordained Minister. Sherman “Daddy” married the beautiful and lovely Ima Jean Green on December 20, 1964., to this union four children. He later joined Saintsville Church of God in Christ, under the tutelage of Bishop J. Neaul Haynes. He was a Reverend, faithful member and servant for over 25 years. On May 8, 2016 he became a member of Restoring Lives Bible Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Armstrong Sr. Sherman was preceded in death by his father and mother, Henry Jake & Hallie V. Mingo; six sisters, Lillian, Christine, Bobbie, Frances, Mae Frances, and Gloria. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Ima Jean; two daughters, Patricia (Anthony) and Linda; two sons, Henry (ShaDana) and Mark (Karla); twelve grandkids, Angela, Lucrecia, Kyleen, Kevin, Tanya, Robert, Brandon, Sydney, MarQuicha, Jordan, Mya and Jason; seventeen great grandkids; one brother Earl Mingo, Sr. (Shirley); one sister in-law, Diane Lewis McDow; adopted kids, Michael (nephew) & Charlmaine (niece); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
