Sherman Arlene Webb, affectionately known as Aunt Hula, was born on October 27, 1939, in Mansfield, Louisiana. She transitioned from this life on August 5, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, leaving behind a legacy enriched by vibrant personality and witty charm.
A proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, Sherman dedicated of her professional life to serving her community as a cashier for Kroger. Her commitment to her work earned her the prestigious President's Award, a testament to her excellence and dedication. Known for her unfiltered honesty, she often stated that she preferred to "keep it real," earning her a unique place in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sherman’s larger-than-life personality made her a beacon of joy and laughter. She was not one to shy away from expressing her thoughts, and her friends and family appreciated her candidness and resilience. In her leisure time, she found great enjoyment in playing BINGO, where her competitive spirit shone through.
Aunt Hula is survived by her son, Alexander Davis. She is preceded in death by her loving spouse, Oscar Webb, and her beloved daughter, Christella Gayle Wilson. Sherman's presence will be profoundly missed by her family and all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her vibrant energy.
The celebration of Sherman’s life will include a viewing on August 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both held at the House of Prayer Word Outreach in Dallas, Texas. The burial will take place on August 18, 2025, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, following a procession starting at 1:30 PM.
