SHIRLEY FAYE HILL, a beloved matriarch was born on March 27, 1950, in the charming town of Rusk, Texas. She graced this world with her presence until her passing on August 4, 2025, in Garland, Texas. A classy woman with a generosity of spirit, Shirley's sweet personality left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Shirley's professional journey began in the realm of data processing for Ford Motor Company, a testament to her diligence and intellect. However, her greatest joy came when she embraced the role of a housewife, dedicating her life to nurturing her family. An ardent advocate of togetherness, Shirley cherished family time spent together, relishing moments of joy at various events with her husband and son.
Education held a significant place in Shirley’s heart; she earned an Associate's degree in business management, epitomizing her pursuit of knowledge and self-betterment. Her enduring love for her family was matched only by her fondness for engaging in heartfelt conversations with her mother and siblings, often shared over the phone.
In her leisure, Shirley found delight in shopping and traveling, pursuits that allowed her spirit to flourish and explore the beauty of life. The greatest inheritance she bestowed upon her family was the legacy of love and dedication that echoed throughout her life.
Shirley’s family legacy continues through her son, Jermaine Hill; her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Pope; and her granddaughter, Paris Hill. Those who remain to honor her memory include her sister, Loretta Simmons, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other cherished relatives and friends.
Though she is now reunited in rest with her beloved husband, Rodgers Hill, and sons Shawn Hill and a multitude of relatives who have departed this earthly realm—including her sister Lou'Ann "Goldie" Shannon, and her parents, Finas and Trudie Session Simmons—Shirley’s spirit will undoubtedly continue to inspire love and unity among those she leaves behind.
