STEVEN RAY ELLIS, a dedicated machine operator and proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. Born on April 25, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas, Steven lived a life marked by service, hard work, and devotion to his family.
Steven’s commitment to his country as a member of the US Army exemplified his strong sense of duty and patriotism, a thread that continued through all aspects of his life. His career as a machine operator was distinguished by his unwavering dedication and expertise, qualities admired by colleagues and friends alike.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Sandra Ellis, who was a constant source of love and support throughout his life. Together, they shared many meaningful moments, grounded by mutual respect and affection.
A viewing will be held on June 11, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, located at 1415 Anthony Street, McKinney, Texas, 75069. Following the viewing, a funeral service will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. These gatherings will offer family, friends, and community members a chance to honor and remember Steven's life, his contributions, and the legacy he leaves behind.
