STEVEN BERNARD LOVE, a beacon of light and kindness, passed away on March 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, the city where his remarkable journey began on October 25, 1970. A devoted communication specialist, Steven's life was a symphony of compassion, humor, and steadfast resolve, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.
Born and raised in Dallas, Steven attended James Madison High School, laying the foundation for a life rich in service and wisdom. His commitment to his country was profound and honored; he served with distinction in the U.S. Army and National Guard. Steven's military accolades — including the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M" Device, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon — speak to his dedication and bravery.
Yet, it was not only his service that defined him. Known for his kind heart and giving spirit, Steven was a trusted protector and a source of laughter, filling every room he entered with warmth and light. His fondness for the elderly and his readiness to lend a hand reflected a generous nature that sought always to uplift others. A great provider and deeply knowledgeable of the Bible, Steven offered advice rooted in love and faith, touching lives with the wisdom of his heart.
Steven's passions were as varied as they were vibrant. He harbored a special love for animals and found joy in wrestling, working out, and video games, along with watching the television show "Cops." Above all, his commitment to community service demonstrated a lifelong dedication to strengthening the bonds between people.
The pride of his life was his cherished family. Steven’s legacy lives on through his beloved mother, Noma L. Love; his devoted children, Stevie Love, Jaylaine Love, Jalya Love, Jarah Love, and Akila Yancy; and his twin sister, Stephanie Love. His brother, Daron Love, four grandchildren, and Aunt Janette Wilson along with a large family circle of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends remain steadfast in their love and remembrance. Together, they carry forward the spirit of a man who loved with all his heart.
Steven also leaves behind memories of his grandparents, Leo and Sally Love, and aunts Charlene Hall and Kathleen Johnson, whose presence he cherished.
In every embrace, every word of advice, and every act of kindness, Steven Bernard Love was a protector and a giver, a man whose enduring love and profound faith enriched all who had the privilege to know him. His light, so brilliantly felt in life, now shines quietly in the hearts of many, guiding and comforting as they remember his remarkable life and legacy.
