Mr. Thomas O’Neal Trammer Sr., of Prattville, AL, departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020. He had been surrounded by his wife and family all that day, leading up to his passing.
Thomas was born in Alabama on August 27,1933 to father, Walter Trammer Jr. and mother, Everliner Brown-Trammer. He was the baby and only boy of 5 children. He gave his life to Christ at the age of 11. He grew up in Alabama and then moved to Chicago in the early 60’s, to be closer to his only surviving sibling, Olivia Jones after serving in the United States Army from March 1953 to December 1954. He met his soul-mate, Bevelon, at the age of 35. They shared a wonderful life together of 46 years, had 2 children and resided primarily in Marshall, TX before making Frisco, TX their home.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lois Wagner-Trammer and two children, Walter Trammer III and Barbara Ann Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife and care-giver, Bevelon Trammer, 7 children, Gale Smith, Terry (Glenda) Trammer, Thomas (Maxine) Trammer, Rose (Craig) Grissom, Marilyn (Tina) Jackson, Ricky Trammer and Kirkland (Nakesia) Trammer. 2 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law. He was a special father-figure to Anthony Leachman Sr. and Richard Allen Sr. He also leaves 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be handled by Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, TX on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 9am – 11am and 1pm – 4pm.
Immediate family will view from 11am – 1pm.
Due to Covid – 19 and certain restrictions, the memorial service and repass will be for immediate family only wearing red ribbons at the Trammer Home.
