Travis Wallace Morgan was born on August 25, 1940, in Dallas, Texas. Travis, better known as “Moose”, went to be with Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
He was the second child of Wallace Morgan and Essia Vell Wallace-Morgan. He graduated from Booker T. Washington Technical High School in 1958, where he excelled in his studies. He later took courses at PVUAM and North Texas State University.
Travis was a bus driver for DART for over 15 years and later retired from there. During retirement, he worked as a Sales Associate at JC Penney. He was the life of the party and never met a stranger.
Travis married Bernice Louise Hill, and to this union, four (4) children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents and great-grandparents, Travis Wallace and Willie Frankie Wallace, whom he loved dearly.
Travis leaves to cherish his memories: spouse, Bernice Morgan; five (5) children to honor his memory, Tony, Stephanie, Marcus, Brett and Travisha; seven (7) grandchildren, Demetrius, Chad, Kristian, Jordan, MacKenzie, Katelyn and Trinitee; one great-grandchild, Julianna; his beloved siblings, Paul Dewayne Morgan (Patricia) and Bettye Ann Morgan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that loved him dearly and enjoyed his sense of humor.
Travis has special friends that never left his side during his illness and share an over 60 years friendship with him. The family will forever be indebted to: Fred “Winkie Dink”Walker, Thomas McGee, Rosemary Thomas, Charles “Chuck” Wilson and Cassie Richey-Robinson who stuck with him to the end.
