Travis Lee Waggoner

March 7, 1962 — September 15, 2025

Travis Lee Waggoner was born on March 7, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, the second of five children born to Elisha Waggoner and Doris Crenshaw Waggoner.

Travis dedicated 21 years of service to the Fort Worth Independent School District before retiring. He was known for his big personality, outspoken nature, and warm spirit—he never met a stranger. The life of every gathering, Travis had a gift for humor that was undeniable. A proud and unapologetic fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he loved cheering on his team. His happy place was the casino, where there was never a dull moment. Whether making you laugh or testing your patience, Travis’s vibrant soul left an unforgettable mark on everyone he encountered.

On Monday, September 15, 2025, Travis went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, Elisha Waggoner, and his brother, Ernest Waggoner.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Doris Waggoner; his daughter, Trashona Waggoner; siblings Doris F. Waggoner, James Waggoner, and Charles Waggoner; and his best friends, Marie, Toni, and Amiel. He will also be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Travis’s life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Fellowship COGIC, 5429 Cox Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76105.
