TYRONE WILLS

Tyrone Glenn Wills Sr. was born on January 2, 1948 to James & Constance Wills. Tyrone was the 6th of nine children.

Tyrone entered into eternal rest on June 1st 2020 at the Villas at Mountain View nursing Home, in Dallas Texas.

Tyrone, a native Washingtonian, was raised and educated in the District of Columbia public school system. Tyrone went on to attend the University of the District of Columbia after which he went on to serve in the United States Army for twelve years. During his military service Tyrone had several MOS (Military Occupational Specs) which included being a paratrooper at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he was credited with 250 jumps which made him a member of the jumps club. Tyrone also served in Germany and Fort Myers Virginia where he was an Honor Guard. He attended drill Sergeant Academy in Fort Knox Kentucky where he was promoted to Sergeant E6. After retiring from the Military, Tyrone went to work for Montgomery County Department of Transportation as a bus operator and was quickly promoted to transit coordinator. Tyrone also served as recorder for UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO.

Tyrone "Uncle T" or "Big Wills as he was affectionately called enjoyed sports and family gatherings where he always made everyone laugh.

Tyrone met and married Sonia Hollingsworth and later had a child named Tyrone Wills Jr.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents James and Constance Wills; brothers: James (Junior), Joseph (Butch) Robert, (Skippy) Clifford (Pee-Wee) and sister: Brenda. Also son Conrad.

Tyrone is survived by wife Sonia; daughters: Jackie, Allison, and son Tyrone Jr.; four grandsons: Clarence, Dontae, Devaughn, Brock; one great granddaughter: Sydney; sisters: Barbara. Joyce and Cynthia; daughters-in-law, Denise Johnson & Chandra Wills; one aunt: Hazel Walker; three sisters-in-law, Cecile Hollingsworth, Beverly Douglas and Pailene Henry; brother-in-law, Paul Hollingsworth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
