TYWON YOUNG

On April 22, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas, the world lost a radiant spirit, TYWON YOUNG, who walked this earth as a beacon of warmth and charisma. Born on May 11, 1976, in Gary, Indiana, he was a man whose very presence inspired joy and connection. Known affectionately as "Baby Boo," Tywon had an innate ability to wrap those around him with his inviting smile and infectious laughter, distinguishing him as a beloved figure in the lives of many.

With a career rooted in Property Management, Tywon demonstrated a profound understanding of both the physical and emotional spaces we inhabit. He approached his work with the same love and dedication that marked every aspect of his life, always seeking to bring people together within their homes and communities. His educational journey culminated in an Associates in HVAC and Maintenance, a testament to his resolve and desire to cultivate comfort for others.

Tywon was more than just his achievements; he was a family man who cherished those closest to him. He leaves behind a devoted mother, Miller Slaughter, and wife, Erin Young. His siblings, Jerquila and Gerald Slaughter, will forever carry the memories of their times together, punctuated by laughter and love. Tywon's children, Gamontierra Johnson and Jordyn Young, will remember him as a guiding light, instilling values of kindness and humor that will echo through generations. The bond he shared with his grandchildren, A'Meena Crump and Ah'Meen Stevenson, was a precious treasure, one that will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him. 

Yet, Tywon's journey was not without its shadows. He grieves the loss of his father, Arthur Young, who paved the way for him, as well as his granddaughter GiOna Taylor, whose brief time illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

As we gather to celebrate Tywon's life, his influence reverberates across our hearts, a reminder of the warmth and connections he nurtured. A viewing will take place on May 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, followed by a prayer service the same evening at 6:00 PM. His funeral service will be held on May 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Christian Worship Center in Mesquite.

In this moment of remembrance, let us honor the vibrant spirit of Tywon Young, a man who truly was everyone's favorite person—charismatic, fun-loving, and ever-giving.
