Born on August 1,1941, Verbie graced this world with a presence marked by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to family and friends. Her memory will forever remain a cherished beacon of love and strength for all who knew her.
Verbie’s final days were surrounded by the loving embrace of those dear to her, a testament to the profound bonds she cultivated throughout her life. Her departure leaves a gentle void, yet the echoes of her compassion and generosity will continue to inspire and comfort.
Family, friends, and community members are invited to honor and celebrate Verbie Lee Rice’s remarkable life through a series of solemn services dedicated to her memory. A viewing will be held on April 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway. This will be an opportunity for all who loved Verbie to gather, reflect, and pay heartfelt tribute.
The following day, on May 1, 2026, a Celebration of Life service will commence at 10:00 a.m. at East Gate Missionary Baptist Church, situated at 6960 South Polk Street in Dallas. This service will provide a meaningful occasion to remember and honor Verbie’s enduring spirit and the imprint she left on her community.
Immediately following the celebration, at 12:00 p.m., Verbie will be laid to rest with dignity at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, located at 1311 Murdock Road in Dallas. The burial will be a quiet and respectful farewell fitting for a life well-lived.
Verbie Lee Rice’s journey was marked by love and the richness of relationships she nurtured. Though she has passed from our sight, the legacy of her kindness and the memories shared will forever light the path for those privileged to have known her.
