Vernon Coleman, born October 20, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2026, in Dallas, the city where his life began. His passing marks the loss of a man whose name will be remembered with love and respect by those who knew him.

Born and raised in Dallas, Vernon’s life was rooted in the place he called home. From his first days to his final moments, Dallas remained the backdrop to his journey, holding the memories of a life that stretched across nearly sixty-two years. His presence leaves a lasting impression, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who shared in his life.

Vernon was very outgoing and energetic.   He was loving and inspiring.

He loved horses.   He also loved to cook.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Vernon’s life during visitation on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
