VICTORIA PATRICE LANE

March 21, 1984 — August 23, 2025

VICTORIA PATRICE LANE, affectionately known to many as Afrodyziak and Pooh, entered this world on March 21, 1984, in the vibrant city of Memphis, TN. With a spirit as fiery as her personality, she graced our lives until her untimely departure on August 23, 2025, in Mesquite, TX.

Victoria's journey through life was marked by a profound compassion for others, a hallmark of her character that shone brightly in both her personal and professional endeavors. As a crucial care advocate at United Health Care, she dedicated herself to supporting those in need, always the first to extend a helping hand and offer words of comfort. Colleagues and friends alike were captivated by her big heart and sassy humor, traits that radiated warmth and kindness to all she encountered.

Her upbringing was grounded in rich educational experiences at J. A. Fair High School in Little Rock, AR, and later flourished at Jarvis Christian University and Paul Quinn College. It was clear to all who knew Victoria that she inherited a wealth of intelligence and grace from her beloved grandmother, Grace. With style that commanded attention and a presence that illuminated any room, she carried herself with an elegance befitting her strong personality.

Victoria embraced life with an undying enthusiasm, pursuing hobbies that brought her joy. She delighted in seafood boils, indulged in the artistry of the nail salon, and expressed her vivacious spirit through glamorous lipstick and eyelashes. Her laughter was infectious, and her passion for life was—and will forever be—truly memorable.

Among her proudest achievements was the unparalleled joy of raising her son, Elijah Armstead, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. In addition to her role as a devoted mother, Victoria was a founding member of the Lady Luck Social Club and held the title of Vice President of the Lady Luck Riding Club, where her leadership and camaraderie flourished. Her remarkable presence was also celebrated in the world of fashion as a Plus Sized Model for Harley Davidson. Her Riding Club honored her spirit when she was awarded the prestigious title of Most Supportive Sister, a testament to the bond she shared with her Club Sisters.

Victoria's legacy will live on through her loving family, including her son Elijah, her father Leonard McKinney, II(Sherry), and her cherished siblings: Leonard McKinney, III, Jonathan McKinney, Brittney McKinney-Dukuzimana(Moise), Christopher McKinney(Amalee), Matthew McKinney, Jirah Thomas, and Marquita Carpenter. Niece and nephews, Hope, Moses, Gideon, Titus, Christopher "CJ" and Nehemiah. Together, they carry forward her radiant spirit and the countless memories of laughter, love, and support she so generously bestowed upon them.

As we remember Victoria Patrice Lane, we will carry her vibrant energy in our hearts, her compassion for others guiding us on our own journeys. Though she rests now, we honor the incredible woman whose life, filled with style, care, and unforgettable humor, touched every soul she met.
