VIOLA HAMMONS

Viola Hammons, a beacon of warmth and compassion, left this world on June 10, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas. Born on March 12, 1958, she graced the lives of those around her with her dramatic flair and undeniable charm. As a private home caregiver, Viola poured her heart into nurturing others, exemplifying a devoted spirit that endeared her to countless families.

Her vibrant personality made her a people person in the truest sense. Viola’s caring nature extended well beyond her professional life; it was a quality she wore like a badge, endearing her to friends and loved ones alike. She had an incredible knack for lifting spirits and creating an atmosphere filled with joy, whether through her comforting presence or the delicious meals she crafted in her kitchen. Going out to eat and spending time with family were among her cherished pleasures, all of which showcased her love for savoring the moments of life in the company of those she adored.

Above all, Viola’s proudest accomplishment was her beloved family. She is survived by two devoted sons, Marvin Churcher Rodriguez and Celestino Churcher, along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life. The legacy of love and laughter she cultivated serves as a reminder of her indomitable spirit and the kind of hallmark she left in their hearts.
