Wilbert was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. A devoted sports enthusiast, he held a deep love for football and basketball, finding delight not only in the thrill of the games but in the camaraderie they fostered. Beyond the arenas of sport, Wilbert’s fondness extended to game shows, with "The Price Is Right" and "Wheel of Fortune" standing as his cherished favorites. His spirited passion for casino visits added another dimension to his vibrant personality.
Known for his sage advice and thoughtful guidance, Wilbert was the trusted advisor to his nieces and nephews, sharing his wisdom generously and offering support with unwavering kindness. Throughout his life, he wore many titles: husband, brother, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend—a testament to the many roles he lovingly fulfilled within his family and community.
In remembrance of Wilbert’s life, friends and family will gather for a viewing at Golden Gate Funeral Home - Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224, on May 1, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held the following day, May 2, 2026, at Alpha and Omega Ministries, 4255 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
