Willie Gene Tutt was born on February 22, 1938, the last of 12 children born to George Robert and Gracie Byrd Tutt in Rusk County.
Willie grew up and attended public school in Concord, TX. He later moved to Fort Worth, TX where he worked for Kimball Foods as a truck driver and then became an entrepreneur and owner of multiple businesses.
In Fort Worth, TX he met his soon to be wife Mildred Bevels through his niece Fannie Mae. They were united in marriage on March 20, 1960, and to this union five sons were born. In 1982, Willie joined Christian Outreach Center where he faithfully attended with his wife. The love they shared lasted almost 58 years, and he loved and cherished his family dearly. He took pride in taking care of his wife and sons. He was considered “Big Will” and “Big Daddy” to his family and those that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bevels Tutt; his son, Gene Tutt; his grandson, Charles Tutt, Jr.; His sisters, Bertie Mae, Armelia and Annie Mirra who died early in life, Bessie Mae Ruggs, Effie Starling, Easter Clayton, and Annie Tutt Taylor; his brothers McKinley, Lacy B, and Eddie Gene; and his Niece/Sister Fannie Mae Wilson. Loving memories of Willie are shared by his sons, Robert Charles Tutt, Sr. (Carolyn); Fitzgerald Tutt (Mary); Michael Wayne Tutt; Mark Anthoney Tutt (Tamika); Sister Queen E. Tutt Sattiewhite; Grandchildren - Dejarian Graham, Dekisha Tutt, Gene Anthoney Jr, DeAthoney Tutt, Brianna Tutt, Fitzgerald Richardson, Willie Gerald Tutt, Sr., DeAdrian Tutt, Vanessa Marie Tutt-Madison, Moriah Lynn Tutt-Cooksey, Jamarcus Anthoney Tutt, and Amaris Gabrielle Tutt; 33 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
