On May 11, 1961 Odie B. Cooks and Willie Jewel Taylor brought to the world a beautiful little girl and named her Yuolonda Rachele Taylor. Yuolonda grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She enjoyed her childhood with her siblings; Darryl Taylor, Harold Taylor and Chris Taylor, Bernard Cooks J. Williams and friends. Yo-Yo graduated from Poly High School in 1979. At the age of 20 Yuolonda gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and named her Tiwanah Weatherton.
Around the age of 28 she got pregnant and was expecting a bouncy beautiful baby boy named Wessley Jr. Unfortunately, God had other plans and Wessley Jr. did not make it. So her journey begins, Yo-Yo was a hard working woman. Her very first job was at Wendy’s and her long lasting job was at Beerers where she met so many people. Through her journey Yo-Yo has taken in and raised so many children as if they were her very own.
She extended her love to Kizzie Johnson, Tasha Johnson, Kantrice Hicks, Drisa Hicks, Skip Hicks, Darius Cook, Lazenda Cook, Tasha Edwards, Herman Edwards, Semierra Chase, Ja’Neecia Woodson, Jonathan Cook and Timara Cook. Yuolonda has been married to James Weatherton, John Johnson and Calvin Donnell. She recently found love again and married Willie Hicks Jr. on May 28, 2021. Yuolonda was a member of Sunshine Church of God in Christ in Fort Worth, Texas. She has touched so many lives and will truly be missed. Yuolonda Rachele Donnell-Hicks “Yo-Yo”, 60, passed away on June 29, 2021. She was preceded in death by parents, Willie Jewel Taylor and Odie B. Cooks; one son, Wessley Jr.
