Zelma Lee Woods, a beloved home health care provider and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 97. Born on January 22, 1928, in Many, Louisiana, Zelma was a beacon of love and nurturing throughout her life.

A proud high school graduate of Sabine High School in Many, LA, she dedicated her career to caring for others as a home health care provider, embodying the compassionate spirit that defined her personality. Zelma was more than a caretaker; she was a true matriarch, offering guidance and support to her family and friends.

Zelma's commitment to helping others and her loving demeanor left a profound impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness and strength will be cherished by many.

Her memory will be honored during a Prayer Service on June 25, 2025, at 7:15 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on June 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Both services will be held in Dallas, Texas— the Prayer Service at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas (Allene) located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, and the Funeral Service at St John Missionary Baptist Church, at 2600 S Marsalis Ave.
